With the fall term approaching and the July-September sim year in full swing the staff and administration here at Arcadia are tackling the task of creating a NEW layout to go with our phenomenal and now completely functional automated technology. Established in 2000, Arcadia has moved through a myriad of changes. The alpha version of the game was established as an e mail based site in late 1999 but it was not until early 2000 that forum style game play was adopted. Geocities was the host of this launch site and with the help of a WYSIWYG editor our first full length tutorial and tour was created. This version of Arcadia was relatively stable as we added new features and activities for our Proboards users - and so the Arcadian dynasty began its ascent.
After approximately five years of consistent game play with our Proboards forum Arcadia graduated to a Freewebs site which was able to provided the game with the increased bandwidth which it was consuming. Thanks to friends of the Dynasty, Arcadia began its journey into the world of improved graphics, rule adjustments and ultimately the first steps towards our technological breakthrough.
